As designers, one of the fundamentals we learn in undergrad is to consider the audience for our clients. But we often struggle to apply that same mindset to our own marketing. We are taught to network, to build a portfolio, and to create a visual brand. But if we only focus on how we present information and never consider how people actually digest it, they are not going to remember us.
Make your content easy to understand, present it in a unique way, and make the user feel confident and capable as they navigate what you share.
