Post discovery call

Check out the lesson titled “Research” to see how research can shape your presentations and the communication you share with clients after each meeting. From there, we will explore how to keep your client informed throughout your creative process.

Staying organized

As we learned earlier, SOPs and agendas are strong foundations for guiding each client interaction. As you move through your agenda, take detailed notes. These notes can be turned into a post call recap that you send to your client. Summarize what you discussed in the meeting, outline the action items that need to happen before the next touchpoint, and attach any documents that need updates or signatures.

Communication with the client

After each meeting, keeping your client in the loop is essential. Project management tools like Monday.com or HoneyBook.com allow clients to view progress between milestone check ins. You can assign tasks to separate pulses and update them individually as you design.

Consider creating a dedicated space for ongoing client updates. Manage your progress bars regularly. Categories such as “need info,” “in research phase,” “sent to print,” “designed,” and “need approval” help clients understand where the project stands at any given time.
