Record keeping benefits

Check out some of the key benefits of strong record keeping:

  • facilitate accurate billing

  • track bills

  • collect fees

  • track taxation

  • maintain a written paper trail for reference

I highly recommend completing these tasks in parallel with your work. Do not wait until the end of a project to gather documents. Create folders as you go, keep records of conversations and development, and make sure you always know where your materials are.

It coexists with your project management

If you use a project management system such as Monday.com or HoneyBook.com, it naturally creates an ongoing record. You will still need additional documentation outside of these platforms, but they can serve as helpful references. You can revisit communication, project status, and progress all in one place.
